Meet The Expert
Brian Patrick, DVM
Sr. Veterinary Scientific Liaison, Bayer US

After graduating with his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from the University of Illinois in 1999, Dr. Brian Patrick served as an associate veterinarian practicing small animal medicine and surgery. For over 12 years, he focused on preventive medicine, including parasite prevention for fleas, ticks, and heartworm and intestinal worms. In 2012, he advanced to managing veterinarian and held this position for almost five years before joining Bayer as a Senior Technical Services Veterinarian.
After joining the Bayer team, Dr. Patrick participated in a parasite diagnosis, prevention, and control course at Kansas State University. This course was taught by Dr. Michael Dryden, an expert on fleas and their biology. Since then, Dr. Patrick has lectured extensively on fleas, ticks, and heartworms as well as worked with pet owners and veterinary clinics to help solve tough cases of flea infestations in their patients.
Dr. Patrick was named “Veterinarian of the Year” at Bayer in 2016 & 2017 for his contributions to the veterinary team and Bayer Animal Health overall, including support for veterinary clinics and retail stores.
Dr. Patrick’s practical experience from years of private practice as well as training and expertise he has acquired through interactions with veterinary specialists in parasitology, parasite-focused continuing education meetings, and delivering up-to-date information to pet owners and veterinarians across the country will benefit all who attend our first Hollywood Feed University training sessions.
